Curiosity leads to obsession, obsession leads to sin, sin leads to harm, harm leads to regret, and regret leads to penance. Those who are of the penance domain know of this all to well, whether an innocent mistake or an act of sin so great it cannot be described as anything other than an act against the pantheon, those who take this domain only do so because they require so, not because they want to.

Tools of penance

You gain prof in martial weapons because you are trained to use more powerful "tools" in order to enact your penance on yourself and others.

Pain tolerance

When you start your penance as a cleric of this domain at level 1, you learn to tolerate the pain that you cause on yourself very quickly, it goes to the point to where even weapon and magic can sometimes feel like nothing. When you are not wearing armor and do not have a shield on hand, your AC equals 10+WISMOD+CONMOD.

Channel divinity: Shared Penance

Starting at level 2 you can use your channel divinity to share the pain that you suffer from on to those who deserved equal or even worse pain. As a reaction when you take damage from a creature within your sight you can force a creature to suffer as you have.  the creature who damaged you must make a CON save against your spell save DC on a failure they take damage of the same type that you took equal to the same amount of damage that you took or half as much on a success.

Channel divinity: Rain of Sorrow

Starting at level 6 you can use your magic to cause those who need penance to receive it by your hand. as an action you create a 15 foot circle of rain within your sight must make a CON save against your spell save DC or take a number of d6 equal to your proficiency bonus amount of magical bludgeoning damage, for the next minute after using this you can cause the rain to happen again as an action.

Divine strike

At 8th level, you gain the ability to infuse your weapon strikes with divine energy. Once on each of your turns when you hit a creature with a weapon attack, you can cause the attack to deal an extra 1d8 damage of the same type dealt by the weapon to the target. When you reach 14th level, the extra damage increases to 2d8.

Strengthened penance

At level 17, the damaged caused by your channel divinity abilities is now doubled.
